Wolverine Earns Double Spin-Off

Get ready X-Men fans, TWO more movies are officially in the works!
This weekend, X-Men Origins: Wolverine rocked the box office, coming in at #1 over Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner’s Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.
Due to its HUGE success, the execs over at 20th Century Fox are reacting very, very fast. First, Jackman will be hitting the big-screen again with a Wolverine-inspired sequel. Also, Ryan Reynolds who portrays Deadpool in X-Men Origins:Wolverine has earned his own spinoff!
The character Deadpool is a cancer-stricken mercenary who undergoes the same Weapon X genetic alteration as Wolverine in order to cure his disease. In addition to being cured, Deadpool develops superhuman powers, enhanced strength and self-regenerating healing powers. The somewhat deranged mutant can also absorb the abilities of dead and captured mutants.
