Nicole Richie’s New TV Show

Nicole Richie on the small screen again!
And this time it is no reality TV, Richie has signed a deal with ABC to star in a half-hour comedy. The pilot is based on her own idea and she is exstatic about this new opportunity.
Nicole posted, “I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half-hour scripted comedy ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing” on her blog site.
Continuing, “The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional.”
The project will shoot a pilot this upcoming spring and if picked-up, find a spot in the 2010 ABC lineup. The jump from reality TV to scripted television is definitely a daunting one, but with Nicole Richie’s style and charisma, I think this just might work!
